The Bedoun people of Kuwait have waited more than 50 years for citizenship in the land in which they were born. For many of the Stateless they lack citizenship simply because their male descendants failed to file paperwork in 1960. The Administration should urge Kuwait to grant citizenship to this portion of the Bedoun population immediately.
We further urge the Administration to ask the Kuwait Government to provide the other Bedoun people a clear path to citizenship (perhaps through military service or some other means).
