Demand immediate debate on Dick Durbin's FAIR ELECTIONS NOW Act with an Up or Down vote before the election.

Created by P.W. on June 23, 2012

Republicans, Democrats, & Independents agree that campaign financing is currently broken.

Newt Gingrich & John McCain have complained of billionaires controlling elections through Super PACs, and Democrats have long demanded new campaign finance reforms.

The President has supported the DISCLOSE Act, and has spoken out against the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United v. FEC.

The people, therefore, deserve to see a real debate on this topic BEFORE this Presidential election concludes.

Dick Durbin's "Fair Elections Now Act" and its correlate in the House sponsored by John Larson (D-Conn.), Walter Jones, Jr. (R-N.C.), and Chellie Pingree (D-Maine), deserves a debate and an unobstructed vote.

The President promised to change Washington; he should at least ensure change is debated.
