Former cable industry lobbyist Tom Wheeler is the head of the FCC, a clear conflict of interest. That conflict has become evident in the two proposals the FCC has made regarding the the cable industry - both undermining the concept of net neutrality. The first was tossed out by a federal appeals court. Both have raised objections among net neutrality advocates.
The refusal of the FCC to even consider the idea of declaring Internet providers as common carriers further proves his bias in favor of the industry which for so long paid him to advocate for them. He is the wrong person to be leading that agency and needs to go. We respectfully request that the Obama administration demand his immediate resignation for gross negligence and incompetence in his duties to the American people.
