According to congressional testimony IRS chief John Koskinen says that they are not alerting citizens when their social security number is being used fraudulently on tax returns because "the priority for the taxpayers and the IRS is collecting those taxes". This represents identity theft and is a very strong risk to the financial security of US tax-payers as that same SSN can be used to secure loans and destroy the hard work of the people of the US through financial fraud. Require that the IRS and SSA report all suspected Social Security Number fraud to the individuals to whom those numbers properly belong to safeguard the hard work and livelihood of the people.
