Leading up to the massacre in Orlando, the FBI had repeated contact with the murderer, Omar Mateen. He had previously been investigated by the FBI in 2013 and 2014. Five to six weeks before the attack, a gun store in Florida had reported Mateen to the FBI as a suspicious person. The FBI never followed up on the report. This is a failure in leadership and hints the the culture of complacency still exists in the FBI . The White House should demand James Comey's resignation immediately.
