Antonin Scalia has, on several occasions, made bigoted remarks in public equating sodomy with bestiality and murder. The latest instance being this past Monday, December 10, 2012 at a public speaking engagement at Princetown University. (http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2012/12/10/32135/)
He is blatantly homophobic, often sarcastic and mocking of those who question him on his remarks. This shows clearly that Justice Scalia has no respect for LGBT people, and, as such, cannot be allowed to sit the bench during these two cases - cases which are undoubtedly the most important civil rights cases of our generation.
Justice Scalia cannot be trusted to maintain true objectivity on the bench with respect to the upcoming DOMA and Proposition 8 cases - and with that, we demand his recusal.
