Justice Antonin Scalia is bigoted, prejudiced and blatantly anti-gay, equating homosexuality to murder. Justice Scalia’s lack of impartiality on same-sex marriage issues is a clear violation of his judicial oath. His blinding homophobia is also an impediment to justice, given that the Supreme Court will hear two cases challenging the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act next year. He cannot be trusted to render a fair, unbiased ruling on the issues of same-sex marriage and DOMA and should recuse himself or be forced to recuse himself from ruling on these cases which bear such important civil rights consequences to our fellow American citizens.
