Many Soldiers are now not recieving their reenlistment bonuses because of some backwards policy that is driving the DFAS (Defense Financing and Accounting Service) to recoup past bonuses from contracts that are long past completed/fulfilled. I am one of those Soldiers who need the help of the people. The financial stress that this has caused on my family as well as other Soldiers is unjustified and unwarranted. It has been 25 months since I should've received my bonus and there are many more Soldiers in my same situation. The National Guard needs to explain to the public how they have been unapologetic and unsympathetic to their Soldiers and that this problem will be resolved ASAP.
