We the people feel that the premise of national security should never in any way infringe on our expectations of privacy.
While it is understood that the National Security Agency must conduct itself very efficiently in order to protect the freedoms of America, the heads of the agency must also understand that if they are to begin collecting information on law abiding citizens and legal permanent residents, they need to obtain permission from the United States Congress before doing so.
We would like to demand that all telephone records obtained by the NSA that were not directly related to a legal investigation be immediately and permanently destroyed. If similar records are to be obtained in the future, it is only to be with the blessing and guidance of the United States Congress.
