The Cruz campaign spread false rumors the night prior to the Iowa Caucus stating that Dr. Ben Carson was dropping out of the race and that he hopes and expects that the voters use their vote on him instead of wasting it on someone who is dropping out of the race.
This alone was responsible for his win, because had he not done this he almost certainly would not have won Iowa (based on almost every single poll leading up to the caucus).
This is unacceptable and dirty behavior used solely to manipulate the voters of Iowa.
We the people demand another election take place in Iowa!
