Demand that NJ Governor Chris Christie declare a State of Emergency following the "macroburst" storm.

Created by S.H. on June 29, 2015

On Tuesday, June 23rd, a severe storm ripped through NJ causing tremendous damage to Southern NJ (Gloucester, Salem, Camden Burlington Counties).

As of Monday, June 29th, there are still approx 10,000 residents of NJ without power.

Cars were flipped over, tress crashed on homes, small businesses were closed for days due to sustained 70 mph winds. The situation was more severe to our area than Hurricane Sandy and we've not been provided the help or resources needed to assist those affected as well as the boroughs/towns who are run with tight funds.

Area leaders estimate there is about $7.5 million dollars of damage in the County. Our local leaders are requesting the financial assistance that a State of Emergency would bring to our area.

Please consider our pleas and make him sign!
