We call on the President to initiate research projects to swiftly develop fully non-toxic hydrofracking processes and to use the EPA and Departments of the Interior and Commerce to completely ban the injection of super-toxic carcinogenic chemicals under the homeland.
Nontoxic fracking is currently used at offshore production facilities. Several companies already have nontoxic land-based fracking solutions. The Federal government needs to require them.
Phase 1 nontoxic fracking will involve less-toxic, nonlethal, non-carcinogenic chemicals. Phase 2 will involve reviving the underground bacteria, rather than killing it, and providing nutrients so the strata become active permanent production nurseries for an endless supply of natural gas - the opposite of current destructive methods.
