Demand that the NYC 9/11 Memorial be required to install not just one but hundreds of American flags on the sacred site.

There is a disturbing issue at the 9/11 memorial: the near complete absence of our American flag. It appears that a only a single token American flag has been installed on top of a mechanical building; even the single American flag planned for the plaza was never installed. It is outrageous that the 9/11 memorial does not have hundreds of American flags in and around the site. This is one of the most historic and sacred sites in the United States. An article quoting an architectural firm said “..the memorial sought not just to be a tribute to those who died but also to function as a neighborhood park, ‘where businessmen and women on their on their lunch break mix with tourists.." Perhaps the presence of the American flag will bring the dignity and respect this consecrated place needs.
