Our first amendment gives common people the right to petition to the government. 7% of qualifying petitions don't get responses. If the government refuses to answer our petitions, then they are violating our right to petition. Rights given to us by the constitution, the supreme law of the land that is over even the president. When we wrote the declaration of independence in 1776 we addressed that Great Britain had not answered our petition and if our government TODAY refuses to give us the right to petition than they are no better than the Britain we left in 1776.
The government has only responded to 93% of petitions with qualifying signatures (whpetitions.info). This number is not constitutional, all petitions with the qualifying amount of signatures should get an official response.
