This is a petition to allow free over-the-air broadcasts to be streamed online and made available to all. Over-the-air broadcasts are available for free with the US of an HD antenna, but for some due to location they can only pick up one or two local channels and are forced to pay high cable rates in order to enjoy the free stations. Start up company like Aereo that are trying to provide this service at a reduced cost, to cover their expenses, are having to fight the broadcast stations in court in order to provide a service the broadcast stations refuse to provide.
