In light of the thousands of officer involved shootings, and uses of force by the police nationwide every year, we the people request that all items of this nature be reviewed and adjudicated by independent panels comprised of non law enforcement civilians devoid of passion or prejudice.
We seek this remedy in order to keep within the parameters of true justice within our society, to show that all American citizens are culpable and responsible for following the law, and to deter police from continuing to "Hold court in the street."
Many innocent or unarmed bystanders have been beaten, shot, and killed in a variety of unfortunate circumstances including situations of "mistaken identity." We have lost faith in the training and honesty of our civil servants, and are afraid for our lives.
