With questions now swirling around whether our election may have been hacked, coupled with voters distrustful of whether their votes were recorded correctly, a simple solution would be to attach a small, low-cost, printing calculator style thermal printer to every electronic ("Black Box") voting machine. Voters can then review their selections by examining a printed receipt that they then drop into a box should a recount be necessary.
The best of both worlds. The speed of electronic voting with instant results, coupled with the security of paper ballots.
Such printers are incredibly cheap, don`t need ink, and are a small price to pay to help ensure the integrity of our elections.
