There have been several recent instances of presidents improperly saluting service members when exiting or entering aircraft. This petition is to require anyone holding the position of commander in chief to know how to render a proper salute and WHY it is given.
Not saluting or saluting with, say, a coffee cup in your hand is the epitome of disrespectful to those whom the commander in chief relies on to keep his country safe. If a president has no prior military service it should be the job of his chiefs of staff to ensure this training is provided.
