IRS Commissioner John Koskinen should be asked to resign due to his gross incompetence in managing the IRS's electronic data storage systems. IT managers at most private companies would be fired for allowing data records storage systems to degrade to the point where critical electronic data is not properly backed-up on alternate systems. The IRS absolutely needs reliable and robust data records retention. John Koskinen has not provided the necessary management guidance on this most important issue.
