On numerous occasions, speaking publicly and broadcast widely, Senator Reid promised the American people that he would reform the filibuster so that a minority party cannot continue to block the will of the people. Mr. Reid said he was committed to doing so, but when the opportunity arose, he did exactly what he said he would not do: a handshake agreement that has already been broken by Republicans.
America can no longer be dragged down by filibuster abuse. Obviously, Harry Reid is not the man for the job, since he has lied to the American people on numerous occasions.
