We the people petition the President to demand the immediate release of US Marine SGT Andrew Tahmooressi from his incarceration in Mexico.
His actions, while against Mexico's strict gun laws, were completely legal in the United States, and it is possible that he was confused and may not have known he had crossed the border.
SGT Tahmooressi is also a veteran and suffers from PTSD. He is very likely being mistreated in Mexican prison and certainly not receiving the treatment PTSD requires; in fact, his reported violent behavior and escape attempts are almost certainly related to his PTSD and military training.
PTSD sufferers are already at high risk for suicidal behavior, and every day he remains in prison that risk increases. Do not leave an American son to his fate in a foreign prison.
