The undersigned, citizens of the United States, respectfully FORFEIT THE RIGHT TO MARRY until all your citizens are afforded this right. We ask for an amendment of the Constitution that shall prohibit the several States from discriminating against any of their citizens on the grounds of sex. We make our demand for equal marriage between same sex couples.
Therefore, we ask that you extend the right of marriage to same sex couples - the only remaining class of legally discriminated citizens—and thus fulfill your Constitutional obligation “that all men are created equal".
We would ask your Honorable Body, in order to ensure domestic tranquility, that you legislate for persons, citizens, and tax-payers so we all may engage in the union of marriage.
