Demand a simplified billing process in our health care system, that it is also clear and easy to understand.

Created by A.S. on April 09, 2013

The current billing process in health care, with paperwork required from the health care provider AND insurance, leads to a convoluted process that is both confusing and time consuming. Trying to track, match and understand the various paperwork from either institution is both difficult and laborious.

A bill for one health care event should be simple, easy to read and understand, with financial information acquired from all necessary parties (health care provider AND insurance agency). It should list expense items in full words, not cryptic acronyms; and in words used by the average American, not internal medical jargon.
