Demand the Sudanese government retract Mariam Ibrahim's death sentence & respect religious freedom & international law!

Created by H.S. on May 16, 2014

Mariam Yahya Ibrahim has been sentenced to death for converting to Christianity to marry her Christian husband, as well as 100 lashes for having sexual relations with her husband. Having been born in Sudan, Ibrahim is considered a Muslim by birth. This makes her marriage to husband Daniel Wani, a Christian, illegal. Mr. Wani is not allowed to care for their child, Martin, because he is a Christian. Martin, who is almost two years old, is in prison with his mother. The punishment is set to be carried out after her second child is born. This is an obvious violation of human rights, international law, as well as Sudan's own religious freedom laws. Demand Mariam & her son be released from prison, and the verdict retracted by any means possible. Save her life and take an international stance.
