Recently leaked memos (and memos soon to be released by President Barack Obama) describe the new rules and regulations pertaining to foreign and domestic drone strikes. According to this particular memo, no particular regulation is in place for authorization of drone strikes on suspected terrorists; agencies are allowed to use drones to kill American citizens without due process and trial, a guaranteed constitutional right. As long as there is an "imminent threat," drone strikes are allowed and legal. The problem is, the White House is using the word imminent in "broader terms." They require no substantial evidence or trial of any immediate, near-future threat in order to authorize deadly force through drones. This is a violation of a fundamental right guaranteed by the U.S. constitution.
