Demand Term Limits for Congressional Office.

This country was founded on the belief that man cannot be trusted, and that power corrupts. It is the reason for the many checks and balances inherent in our governmental system. Over time, many of the positions of power in our government came to adopt that same principle, up to and including the position of President. It is absolutely reprehensible that Congressional office is not held to the same standard. There are US officials who have spent more than 30 years in their same position, forming ties and losing touch with their constituents, and the social norms that govern "regular" citizens. It is time that they be forced to accept the same restraints that every other portion of our government abides by. Demand reasonable term limits, and bring balance back to the Legislative branch.
