This petition asks the President to use all of his influence to have the United Nations resolve the deeply disturbing situation in Syria. A "show" of U.S. military force will only exacerbate the chaos in the country and cause further suffering of the Syrian people. U.N. led discussions must bring all parties to the table, including all the various combatant factions, non-combatants and those other countries who are supporting any of the combatants.
