Demand the Universal Labeling of GM Products

Monsanto, the primary GMO-manufacturing conglomerate, traffics genetically engineered seeds to farmers. However, due to the unnatural splicing of genes and their insertion into another species' DNA, a grave situation is created. GM products account for 80% of the packaged foods in the U.S. and have been proven to induce birth defects, nerve damage, and cancerous side-effects. We, as Americans, have "...the right to [l]ife, [l]iberty, and the pursuit of [h]appiness..." - under the Declaration of Independence - and, likewise, should be permitted to know what mediums we are placing into our bodies. We request that the FDA or USDA introduce a universal labeling system for GM products so that consumers know what they're purchasing. We do not, however, condone the abolishment of GM products.
