In April 2013 U.S. District Judge Sim Lake ruled "animal crushing" videos are protected under the 1st Amendment and dropped five of the seven charges against a Houston couple (Ashley Nicole Richards, 22, and Brent Justice, 51) despite the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act of 2010 (H.R. 5566) clearly stating animal crush videos were obscene, like child pornography, and therefore illegal. The crush videos commonly depicted women wearing stiletto heels, torturing, stomping, cutting, burning, and even killing small animals in order to appeal to their fans’ deviant sexual fetishes. Tell Judge Lake Animal Cruelty is NOT protected by freedom of speech.
