For decades, the middle east had been boiling over border disputes and we simply stood by and done nothing or taken one side and further isolated and aggravated the other.
Today, these short sighted, and misguided policies have put our people in peril and have indeed put us at odds with the rest of the world.
Our own future generations will one day recognize that once again we were on the wrong side of history.
