The city of Madaya, Syria has been under siege from Syrian armies loyal to President Bashar al-Assad since July. Landmines surround the city, making it impossible to leave. People, predominantly the very old and very young, are dying from starvation. The people of Madaya have resorted to eating leaves off the branches of trees to gain any sort of sustenance. Babies are given a small amount of milk every few days and most people have not had a real meal or even a slice of bread in months. Without aid, these 40,000 people will starve to death like Bashar al-Assad intends. Sign this petition to urge the United States to send food and medical aid to the starving city of Madaya any way they can.
