For too long, America has discriminated against couples who truly love each other.
25 states outright ban marriages between two cousins, solely because they are related to each other. In half of the United States, a man cannot marry the daughter of his uncle.
Anyone who supports marriage equality should be disgusted. These blatantly unconstitutional laws must be struck down, no matter how many people voted for them or whether or not the Constitution actually says anything about the topic.
The Fourteenth Amendment calls for equal protection under the law, that includes cousins who want to wed. After all, the Constitution is for ALL AMERICANS!
There was a time when people of different races couldn't get married, and this is obviously just as wrong.
