This is a group effort to help Wal-Mart lead the way in responsible retailing, conscious consumerism, and planetary sustainability. There are many of us that have supported you for the majority of our lives. We recognize Wal-Mart as a global leader in consumerism and distribution. We have seen the effects of your global leadership in the daily lives of people around the world. This is why we have brought you this letter. We are informing you of the many opportunities, we feel, you have for improvement.
We as customers feel that we have the right to know if our food is Genetically Modified. We insist that Wal-Mart create food standards, and labeling policies, that benefit the consumers not corporations. We encourage Wal-Mart to make the transition back to buying and selling local.
