The wealthy Gulf coast nations of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain continue to do nothing to receive these displaced refugees. Why should Europe and the United States shoulder this burden alone when these countries seem to be the most logical place for resettlement given the similarity in culture, language and religion. The West continues to pour money and the blood of our own soldiers into stabilizing that region with virtually little to no assistance from these nations. No western leader has taken this stand, and it's about time that one does.
