We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Demanding for Kashmiris' right to self-determination under UN Resolution 47 of 1948 facilitated by the United States

Created by S.D. on August 28, 2016

Kashmiri occupation and the right to self-determination date back centuries, held in bondage by the Mughals, Afghanis, and Hindus. In 1947 following the British exit, Kashmiris were finally at the precipice of freedom but fearing it would lose a strategically important position in the developing conflict with Pakistan, India invaded Kashmir and delayed any decision on its future. A UN resolution, three wars, and 100,000 dead innocent civilians later Kashmiris continue to fight for their freedom, even today. These past two months have seen Kashmiris rise again demanding freedom from Indian occupation but they have been met with blinding pellet guns, curfew, and murder. We ask the US to facilitate immediate implementation of UN resolution 47 in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiris.
