President Obama please, by Executive Order, stop the military weapons handouts from the Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security to local police forces through the 1033 Program. America is not a police state, yet through the 1033 Program we are more closely resembling one. We the people are asking you to not only stop this program, which is in your power to do, but to rescind the weapons already given to our local police forces and dismantle them. Our local police forces do not have the same training as our military, and therefore weapons of this sort are vastly inappropriate for local law enforcement. Please make our cities and towns safer by stopping this program.
