Democracy Class in Public Schools

Our nation's young people are growing up not able to meet the demands that being a citizen of a democracy asks of them. This is due in large part of the failure of standardized testing to foster real creative thinking in our youth. They lack the basis of making real substantial ideas exactly at a time in our nation's history when we need it the mosy.
Today's debates and political talk seem to constantly drawn from tired preexisting party lines. Do we really need to raise a nation of black and white thinkers, that will continue the same debates as their parents? Who lack the tools to understand the deeper impact and issues?
This petition is to get the country to take a step forward in education. Create a class that teaches our young people how to talk, think and debate. Call it democracy.
