The Electoral College, in my mind, conflicts with and undermines the Democratic process.
This is not necessarily a petition to abolish the Electoral College. The College is able to completely ignore the popular vote if Electoral happen to decide to vote opposite the citizen's votes. I am simplifying it but it's as if the voters voters are a little bit less important with the Electoral College.
What I would at least like to happen is for the process to somehow be more Democratic. I'm not the most informed on this topic so I encourage you to research the topic before signing this petition.
