22 Veterans are dying on a daily basis waiting for the VA to book an appointment months and months away. If this happened in any other healthcare system Department of Health and Human Services would have fined and shuttered all VA hospitals.
The VA should be converted to an insurance plan our Veterans can use at any healthcare provider & rates must be similar to Medicare rates. Essentially the VA can turn into a "Medicare" for our Veterans & be accepted at ANY healthcare facility. This will reduce government waste, bad wait times, horrible outcomes, and would increase patient satisfaction rates.
