This is the opportunity for the President to prove his honest commitment to climate sanity. We, the constituency who elected him, need to know that the speech of the millions of of people who are clearly against the suicidal XL Pipeline are heard in spite of the millions of dollars donated by Energy Oligarchs with whom he plays golf. Demonstrate that the State of the Union was not just lip service, but a genuine commitment "for the sake of our children and our future", and actually take the necessary steps to combat climate change. The archetypal decision in this issue for the Administration is the XL Pipeline and the devastating, suicidal Tar-Sands development. If this passes, then don't pretend to care. It is a decision driven by money over public health, our children and our future.
