Taiwan takes pride in being a democratic and free nation.We do not want to see ourselves being subdued by the PRC government - which is communist and claims to have control over Taiwan's future and rights.
We don't see ourselves and our future to be ruled by a group of Chinese who could not vote and freely decide what their future could hold. We believe that the Taiwanese residents should be the ones responsible to decide our future.
Therefore, we would want to request the Obama administration to denounce China's advancement as it is obviously a form of attack that aims to undermine the democracy Taiwanese takes pride in.
台灣對於作為一個自由和民主的國家而感到驕傲。台灣人對於由中國宣稱台灣的未來應該由全中國人民決定而感到錯愕以及氣憤。
我們的未來不應該由完全不能夠決定自己未來的中國人決定。作為台灣人民，我們才是最適合覺得自己的未來。
因此我們特別請歐巴馬政府嚴厲譴責中國的動作，因為這已經嚴重影響到了台灣人民最自豪的民主自由。
