Many colleges and universities have cynically decided to reduce the hours of part-time faculty members (adjunct faculty) to keep those teachers below the 75% threshhold for inclusion in the institutions' health care plans.
Universities and college that willfully do this should not be rewarded with grants, contracts and other monetary bequests.
Universities and colleges that would manipulate employees' hours to avoid complying with the law of the land (the Affordable Health Care Act) should not continue to receive grants and other funds from the federal government in a "business as usual" fashion.
