In Texas and the Tea Party, hypocrisy reigns supreme.
Two Republicans, who voted against helping hurricane survivors, are now begging for help from the federal government they hate.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Bill Flores basically told survivors of Hurricane Sandy - an unavoidable natural disaster - "Tough rocks for you", and voted against federal aid for them.
Now, both Cruz and Flores are asking for federal aid after an explosion at a fertilizer plant - a man-made, avoidable problem - in Texas.
The fertilizer company - basically, a bomb factory, in the middle of a populated area - blew up the town of West, Texas.
If federal aid isn't good enough for hurricane survivors, it isn't good enough for Texas.
Tell Texas:
They blew it up. They can fix it. It's called "self reliance".
