DENY any state the right to secede from the United States, regardless of the reason.

In light of all of the current petitions seeking to have a particular state given the right to secede, this petition seeks to countermand any of those petitions. It was established, as a result of the civil war, that states should not be granted the right to secede. There are many of us living both within and outside those states, who believe in a more perfect union. The government of the United States of America, provides for an inherent system of checks and balances. Our country should remain intact and no person or state should have the right to dissolve the union.
