Deny Bowe Bergdahl pardon or leniency before leaving office

Created by W.W. on December 04, 2016

For those unaware, Bowe Bergdahl has requested a pardon from the Obama administration.
If granted, it would allow Bergdahl to avert a military trial, where he faces charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, the latter charge carrying a max sentence of life in prison.
I, a private citizen, strongly urge you to not grant his request. By leaving his post in Afghanistan, he willfully endangered the lives of American soldiers, not to mention the discovery that he was hardly a POW at all, but looked to be in camaraderie with his "captors" throughout his imprisonment.
