We ask the Department of State, John Kerry and President Barack Obama to deny any request for the extradition of Walter James Palmer to the country of Zimbabwe regarding the guiding hunting expedition during which "Cecil the Lion" was killed.
We assert that Mr Palmer hired a guide, obtained the appropriate licenses and followed all procedures relating to the guided hunt. Furthermore, we assert that any wrongdoing, mistakes or violations during the hunt are exclusively the responsibility of the guide (whose job it is to ensure local regulations are followed) and not that of Mr. Palmer.
Finally, we ask the Administration to recognize that this issue has become a "witch hunt," and Mr Palmer is undeserving of such treatment by simply participating in the sport of hunting enjoyed by millions
