Deny Immunity to former Mexican president Ernesto Zedillo so he could face an ongoing trial at an American court.

Created by J.D. on August 13, 2012

On 1997, 45 people including children and pregnant women were killed in the village of Acteal, Chenalho, in the Mexican state of Chiapas. The massacred were attending a church service and were members of the pacifist group "The Bees". The killing was planned and carried out with extreme atrocity.

The massacre was carried out by paramilitary forces with ties with the PRI (Partido de la Revolución Institucional)  and in complicity with the Mexican government. At the time Zedillo was the Mexican President and the maximum chief of the PRI. He never ordered a serious investigation.

Now he is facing trial in the American Justice at New Heaven where he has been a resident for 12 years. Mexican government, in an effort to protect him, has asked President Obama to issue a Immunity declaration.
