Sign this petition if you would like perpetrators of heinous acts of violence, such as mass shootings and serial killings, to have their image and name banished from public discourse once they are caught. Any image rolling around social media should be wiped clean. The 24 news cycle should cease to broadcast their image and name. These individuals feed off of becoming known for doing something evil and that infamy should be denied them. Whether this should be a law or simply broadcast as a general understanding of decency is up to debate.
Instead of infamy, which feeds copy cats, they should receive banishment and anonymity, to include having a media blackout during the judicial phase.
