The Pentagon considers warrior dogs, the canine soldiers who have served with honor and distinction, as "EQUIPMENT" to be left behind as our human soldiers come home. It's a gross miscarriage of justice to the warrior dog & their handlers. It plain & simply is Animal Cruelty. These trained dogs have saved countless US lives & deserve better treatment from the Government who drafted them for duty. Not only is it devastating to the soldier who has lived & worked with his warrior companion but it is the worst thing anyone could do to an intelligent dog. A soldier would never call his warrior companion, "equipment " or leave him/her behind. Many have spent their own money & sometimes waited years to transport their buddies home. This is just wrong on so many levels, legally & morally.
