Department of Motor Vehicles Reform: End penalties for late vehicle registration. People have rights not the DMV.

Created by R.J. on September 17, 2014

Having a tough time in this economy? Can't pay for vehicle registration right now, and your willing to not drive until you get the tags renewed? Why should you be penalized for not registering right away. Vehicle registration can double if its not paid on time. Cars are a asset not a money pit. Lets give power back to the people so the little guy doesn't have to consider legal counsel. If the DMV can't contact your auto insurance company and wish to suspend your license. Ensure once the suspension is active the driver is reimbursed for the months there will be no registration until auto insurance is verified. Simple solutions, and yet they don't happen.
